Ms. Hoeksema was a designer and project manager for the auditorium space for the Harris Music and Dance Theater built in Chicago's Millennium Park during her work for the project's architect HBRA Architects. The acoustical clouds and towers were built of steel with plywood shells and provided flexibility for lighting and sound for the various types of permance theater hosted by the venue. The orchestra pit was only 2' above the park's water table, resulting in a potential buoyancy effect instead of the traditional force or gravity.
