The Origami Collection was the first of a series of seasonal textile developments based on the artisan craft of origami. The impetus of the work was to create soft, flexible personal space with cloth. The work is worn multiple ways and many of the pieces are convertable allow the wearer control of her personal space.
The conceptual strength of the collection was the form understood in tandem with the material use, natural uncolored muslin. All the pieces started with 32" squares; then forms around the body evolved just like the art of origami.
